Our Major Projects division has been designing and supplying temporary shoring equipment for basements and large civil engineering excavations for 10 years.

We have enhanced our range of hydraulic struts in this time to meet the high load and long span requirements of large propping schemes with our 1000 series struts able to support loads of up to 2500kN and span up to 45.0m. We are fully committed to supporting our customers throughout the planning, design and installation phases of a project.

Our manufacturing capability enables us to provide bespoke connection details to enable the use of our modular products in conjunction with permanent works elements. When combined with our complimentary tender design service, provided by experienced qualified engineers, our early supply chain involvement enables effective risk management of major excavation projects and provides practical, value engineered solutions.

Waste Bunker at Earls Gate Energy Centre

Assistance was required at a major project site in Grangemouth, Scotland, to provide temporary support for safe access to complete ongoing progress made on a new waste bunker.
MGF became involved with the project after meeting with the contractor, Clugston Construction. Discussions took place surrounding the initial design and how external factors had the potential to affect the end scheme.

Case Study: University of Ulster, Belfast
